"And finally, last week a group of arthritis advocates met with and thanked West Virginia Governor Earl Ray Tomblin for naming May as Arthritis Month in the West Virginia (see photo attached). Julie Warden - has has rheumatoid arthritis and was recently named Mrs. West Virginia International - participated in the event and can be seen over the governor's right shoulder. Julie also serves on the West Virginia Advisory Board. Special Thanks to Shannon Holland (Great Lakes, West Virginia Branch Director) who recruited a great group of advocates to the ceremony.
Welcome to my journey with arthritis! My name is Julie Warden and I AM a Face of Arthritis. I was diagnosed with Rheumatoid Arthritis when I was 22 years old after an extremely challenging diagnoses and I am passionate about raising awareness so others don't have to have pain as long as I did! I was crowned Mrs. West Virginia International on May 4, 2013 and I will spend my year working with The Arthritis Foundation as my platform!
